when one sees the abuse that a particular pastor is inflicting on his family and the "authorities" are called yet they do not see it, is there anything else to be dne? how can a small independent church be held accountable without it becoming a freedom of religion thing? if a church is teaching people how to abuse kids, how to teach kids to lie to cps workers, how to lie about homeschooling, then WHO can hold them accountable in this lifetime? though i know ALL of this is in the Lord's hands, it is exhausting trying to see if there is something else one can do IRL to help these kids and hold the adults accountable? when there is no "authority" over the unblanaced "authority" within the churhc, what, if anything, can be done?

wow, that is a difficult situation.  children in that situation are rarely going to reach out for help but getting to only one, being empathetic and getting them to understand that they can be powerful to speak out would go a long way to opening the door.

remember when NO ONE could touch the priests who raped children, and NO ONE thought the church would ever be held accountable?
