Well, it looks like after the whole Chrstnghtmr (sp?) story died down, this site just kind of, well, died. I've been coming to this site for almost 4 years now, and since it provided me with some very much needed empathtic discussion of my past, I venture a guess that there are others out there who will benefit from it now.
But that means keeping it current. Where are you, IndieGuy and IndieGirl?
We're all still out here, still moving on and getting the lives we wanted and needed and deserved, one responsible choice at a time (and then two steps back, sometimes!)
As for me and mine, I married a marvelous rarity for the Bible-belt-- a sane fellow agnostic who doubles as the most amazing father a baby girl could ask for, and the kind of husband you never heard about in church or in the movies either one... loving, kind, independent and funny as heck with as much brains as brawn and then some. We bought a house last year and got married by the fireplace 2 months before our daughter was born. I work with kids in an outpatient setting, and am loving my professional career. We have a great relationship with our families now, I'm proud to say, and they are more than willing to chip in for child care as needed.
This has come to me through a long, painful, but fortuitous road I can't even begin to describe. Gothard and ATI definitely served to define a portion of my life, but the roads it led me down also led me out... and here I am. Just living, learning to love and having the time of my life. (Some therapy must be thanked, as well!) And books. And blogging. And friends. And...well, just life.
