Anyone know the best place to buy IBLP material other than from the seminars?  I'm talking about things like Wisdom Booklets, seminar notes, the men's manual, that kind of stuff.  Any suggestions?

Used book stores or thrift stores. Bill Gothard's materials are only sold at the seminars or conference training centers. The only way you can obtain these materials is second hand.

Try half.com. I did a search under "books" for "Bill Gothard" and it came up with about 12 products, including volume one of the "Men's Manual." You can also get a few results searching for 'institute in basic life principles' or 'basic youth conflicts.'

You could also try similar searches at abebooks.com, a very good used book site.

Or else, contact ex-ATI families who probably have three copies of every IBLP publication sitting in their basement and would happily give it away.

This is one thing I could never understand. Why isn't his materials sold in the Christian book stores? I can understand the materials for the seminars being sold only at the confrences, but the "Men's Manual", "The Character Sketches", "The Pineapple Story", and "The Eagle Story"? It kind of gives you the feeling that he has got something to hide. This is why many are coming to the conclusion that he is the ring leader of a cult. It is secretive. He doesn't even want you to discuss things from the seminars with those who have not attended. Truth is not to be veiled or secretive. This is what the Mormons do. If this is revelation from God, it should be for all those who deem themselves as Christians. Is he protecting his rights to the materials? Isn't a our normal copy right laws good enough to protect his literature, or is there something more to it than that?

He seems to be getting out of that mold with his newest books, published by respected publishers and sold everywhere.  His website also is a little more open about himself than is customary.
